The Social Media Cafe September's session was sponsored by Talk About Local. My shortest interaction at the event was with William Perrin, what he did was basically come up to us and urge us to set up blogs and simply start talking even of the smallest aspects of our surroundings.
A project like Talk About Local sounds very peculiar in the Romanian context, or at least, seemed odd to me at first. People getting this involved in their communities for free, success stories, people believing in themselves and in their power of changing their surroundings for the better sounds too idealistic for me.
I also attended a presentation of their project last week at the Your Square Mile event. I have to admit it's worth looking into!
Coincidence or not, I'm starting my blog today. I've managed several company or project blogs and online presences but this is my first personal blog.
